Service Promise

Service Quality
  1. You will always be told your diagnosis (or diagnostic possibilities), if you ask for it.
  2. You will always be prescribed the minimum number of medicines required.
  3. If you are already taking a medicine, which I feel is necessary and useful, I will never change it.
  4. I will never advise unnecessary blood tests, investigations or radio-imaging (CT scan/MRI).
  5. I will always avoid hospitalization, unless the family demands it. This is because, patients suffering from an emotional disturbance, recover much more quickly if they are treated at home.
  6. I will never advise injectables/injections, unless absolutely necessary, and that to for one time use only.
  7. I will never advise unnecessary psychological tests (Rorschach, Personality assessment etc).
  8. I will always keep you and your wishes, my priority. If our perspective differs, I will advise you of the pros and cons of your decision and my advice.
  9. Confidentiality: Anything that you tell me during consultation/session is confidential and will NOT be told to any third party without your permission. At times, on your request, information that you share with me will be kept confidential from your family, spouse and/or partner. Confidentiality will be breached ONLY IF a court ORDERS me to do so OR if you tell me about a criminal act that you have committed or are imminently planning to do.
  10. If you have booked an appointment and paid in advance, I will always see you at the booked time. In the rare event that I am unable to do so and you have to wait for half an hour or more, a 20% rebate on the cost of the entire booked session will be automatically offered. If you have to wait for 1 hr or more, then only a token amount of Rs 100/- per half hour booking will be charged.
  11. You have a right to question me about my diagnosis and treatment. If you are unconvinced about my assessment and treatment, you should consult another Psychiatrist. On your request, I can provide details of the nearest available Psychiatrist.
